Job Description

We're recruiting for a growing Australian renewable energy owner and operator looking to add a Senior Market Operations Analyst to its Energy Markets team.

This is a broad, commercially focused NEM role with exposure across the operational performance, market optimisation and continued growth of a significant portfolio of wind, solar and BESS assets.

We're looking for someone with 3-8 years of Australian electricity market experience, ideally from a renewable asset owner, IPP, generator or utility, with a solid practical understanding of the wholesale and spot markets across NEM and WEM.

Strong Excel and SQL capability is essential, with Power BI highly regarded and Python or PLEXOS experience advantageous.

Key responsibilities:

- Managing and analysing NEM bidding, dispatch and market performance
n
- Monitoring constraints, curtailment, FCAS and other key revenue drivers
n
- Supporting generation forecasting, settlements and operational market processes
n
- Analysing asset and portfolio performance to identify commercial and optimisation opportunities
n
- Supporting the integration of new and acquired assets into the operating portfolio
n




- Working across Energy Markets, Development, Finance and Asset Management on commercial and operational initiatives
n
- Developing and improving market reporting, analytics and decision-support tools on SQL and PowerBI
n
- Join a well-capitalised, growing renewable energy IPP with a substantial asset portfolio

- Broad exposure across operating assets, new project delivery and acquisitions, rather than a narrowly defined analyst remit
