East Coast Electrical & Solar is looking for an organised and experienced Full-Time Scheduler / Service Coordinator to join our growing team.

n

We are a locally owned electrical and solar company with a growing team working across electrical, solar, battery, air conditioning, maintenance and related services.

n

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day scheduling of our field team, manage incoming service enquiries and make sure our jobs, technicians and customers are organised and kept up to date.

About the Role

n

This is a fast-paced role where you will be responsible for coordinating our electricians and apprentices across multiple jobs each day, while also helping manage incoming calls and day-to-day service work.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Managing and maintaining the daily and forward work schedule
n
- Scheduling electricians and apprentices to jobs
n
- Answering and navigating incoming customer calls and enquiries
n
- Understanding what the customer requires and directing the enquiry to the appropriate person or department
n
- Triaging urgent electrical and service calls
n
- Booking and coordinating Do & Charge jobs and smaller electrical works
n
- Gathering the correct information from customers so jobs can be booked efficiently
n
- Coordinating job times with customers
n
- Making sure the right employees are allocated to the right jobs
n




- Managing changes, cancellations, urgent jobs and scheduling conflicts
n
- Keeping customers informed of appointment times and changes
n
- Working closely with our operations, sales, administration and stores teams
n
- Reviewing upcoming jobs to make sure they are ready to proceed
n
- Helping maximise productivity and reduce unnecessary travel and downtime
n
- Keeping job information and scheduling details accurate in our job management system
n
- Following up outstanding information that may prevent a job from being scheduled
n
- Assisting with the general coordination of our field operations
n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, confident communicating with both customers and tradespeople, and comfortable working in an environment where priorities can change throughout the day.

n

Previous experience scheduling within the construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, solar or another trade-based business would be highly regarded.

n

The right person will ideally have:

n

n
- Previous scheduling, service coordination or operations experience
n
- Experience handling incoming customer calls and service enquiries
n
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
n
- Excellent phone and communication skills
n




- Confidence dealing with customers and field staff
n
- Good computer skills and the ability to learn new systems
n
- The ability to manage multiple priorities at once
n
- Strong attention to detail
n
- The ability to think ahead and identify scheduling problems before they happen
n
- The ability to determine what needs immediate attention and what can be scheduled for later
n
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
n
- The confidence to make decisions and take ownership of the schedule
n
- Experience with job management or scheduling software would be an advantage
n
