MARS are proudly partnering an established and growing financial services company to appoint a newly created position as a Senior Financial Modelling Manager. This person will take ownership of some of the organisation's most critical financial models and analytics.

The Role

n

Reporting to the Head of FP&A;, this is a hands‐on modelling role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, understanding what drives a business and turning complex financial information into insights that influence senior decision‐making.

You'll sit at the intersection of Finance, Treasury, FP&A; and data, with the opportunity to shape how the business plans, forecasts, reports and makes commercial decisions.

The Responsibilities:

- Net Interest Margin (NIM) modelling - build, maintain and enhance sophisticated NIM models, analysing the key drivers of margin and funding costs
n
- Profitability modelling - develop detailed analysis to understand profitability and performance across products and the broader business
n
- Pricing & risk‐based modelling - support pricing decisions through financial and risk‐based analysis, assessing the impact of pricing, funding and portfolio assumptions
n
- Budget & forecasting modelling - own and enhance budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting models to support financial planning and decision‐making
n
- 3‐way financial modelling - develop and maintain integrated P&L;, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow models, with experience in this area highly regarded
n
- Build complex financial models from scratch, applying best‐practice modelling principles and robust model architecture
n
- Provide detailed product‐level analysis across NIM, profitability and NPAT to support strategic decision‐making
n
- Work closely with Finance, Treasury, Data and senior stakeholders to translate financial data into meaningful commercial insights
n




- Enhance reporting, dashboards and business intelligence capabilities, identifying opportunities to automate and improve existing processes
n
- Prepare and oversee key monthly reporting, variance analysis and Finance Board reporting
n
- Provide ad‐hoc financial modelling, analysis and decision support to senior management
n

The Requirements:

n

n
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years' experience in a similar function
n
- Proven track record of building and running sophisticated financial models from scratch within a financial services organisation (essential)
n
- Must have experience in building models across NIM, profitability, pricing and budgeting
n
- Advanced reporting, Excel and financial modelling capability, with experience using AI tools
n
- Strong experience across budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial analysis
n
- The ability to translate complex data into clear, commercially relevant insights
n
- Robust stakeholder management and communication skills
n
- CA/CPA/CFA qualification is desirable but not essential
n
- Experience with Snowflake, Macros & VBA is beneficial
n

- They operate a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
n
- Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have long‐term working rights
