About Us

We are an established remedial massage clinic in Cannonvale, providing professional remedial and musculoskeletal treatments to the Whitsundays community for over 16 years.

n

Our multidisciplinary team includes four Remedial Massage Therapists, an Osteopath and a Nutritionist, working collaboratively to support clients with musculoskeletal conditions, soft tissue dysfunction, muscular tension and movement-related concerns.

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Remedial Massage Therapist to join our professional team in a permanent full-time position.

About the Role

n

The successful applicant will provide individualised remedial massage treatments based on client assessment, clinical presentation and treatment goals.

n

The role involves working with clients presenting with a range of muscular and musculoskeletal concerns and requires the ability to assess, treat and monitor client progress using appropriate remedial and therapeutic techniques.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- Conduct client consultations and obtain relevant medical and treatment history
n
- Assess posture, movement, muscle tension, joint function and musculoskeletal presentation
n
- Identify soft tissue dysfunction, muscular imbalances and movement restrictions
n
- Develop and implement individualised remedial treatment plans
n
- Provide remedial massage and deep tissue treatments using appropriate therapeutic techniques
n




- Reassess client progress and modify treatment plans where appropriate
n
- Provide appropriate advice regarding stretching, posture, movement, self-management and injury prevention
n
- Refer clients to other healthcare professionals when appropriate
n
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals within the clinic
n
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical treatment records
n
- Maintain professional communication and appropriate boundaries with clients
n
- Follow hygiene, infection control and workplace health and safety requirements
n

Skill & Experience

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- A Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy or higher qualification, such as Myotherapy
n
- A minimum of one year of full-time experience working as a Remedial Massage Therapist
n
- Current eligibility to provide remedial massage services recognised by private health funds
n
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, musculoskeletal conditions and soft tissue dysfunction
n
- Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills
n
- Robust remedial and deep tissue massage skills
n
- Professional communication and client management skills
n
- Ability to maintain accurate and confidential clinical records
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
n
