This is a great chance to join a well-established firm with 3 offices in South East Qld and a National network. They operate in paperless environment and use Xero as their practice software. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of clients across compliance, tax planning and advisory work; supporting the manager in advisory projects.

You will have key responsibilities which will include:
n
n
- Preparing individual, company, trust and partnership tax returns
n
- Preparing and lodging BAS and IAS
n
- General bookkeeping and account reconciliations
n
- Liaising with clients regarding compliance and advisory matters
n
- Maintaining accurate records and following the firm's systems and procedures
n
- Any other undertaking as and when required
n
n
The ideal candidate will possess:
n
n
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in an accounting / client-facing role in a public practice accounting firm.
n
- Be experienced in preparing tax returns, BAS and financial statements
n
- Be capable of completing work with a good degree of autonomy
n
- Have strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
n
- Be friendly, approachable and genuinely client focused
n
- Communicate clearly and raise questions or concerns when needed
n
- Understand the importance of following systems, procedures and timeframesDegree qualified desirable (business, commerce, accounting, finance etc)
n
- CA, CPA, Masters of Tax etc. (highly favourable)
n
- Tech savvy and highly competent in Xero/Xero Practice Management software.
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
n
- Ability to manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously.
