Job Description

Tamworth Hospital is seeking a Locum Surgical Registrar to support surgical coverage within Hunter New England LHD.

n

This role is suited to a registrar with recent surgical experience who is confident supporting ward-based care, patient reviews, clinical documentation, handover and escalation of care when required.

Clinical Environment

n

Surgical Registrar role
n Hospital-based locum position at Tamworth Hospital
n Weekday shifts, generally 07:00 – 15:30
n Five-shift block available
n Supportive clinical environment with escalation pathways available

n

Key Duties

n

n
- Review and manage surgical patients
n
- Support ward-based care and acute presentations
n
- Complete clinical documentation and handover
n
- Escalate clinical concerns appropriately
n
- Work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health teams
n

n

Eligibility Criteria

n

n
- Current AHPRA Registration
n
- Recent surgical registrar-level experience
n
- Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
n
