The Opportunity

n

Alliance Clinics is seeking a reliable and experienced Cleaner to help us maintain clean, safe and welcoming clinic environments across our two Townsville locations.

n

This is a straightforward cleaning role, primarily involving offices, reception areas and therapy spaces. A key part of the role is ensuring therapy rooms, toys, equipment and frequently touched surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised.

n

Cleaning is completed after hours when our clinics are closed, so you must be comfortable and confident working independently and alone on site.

n

The role is approximately 25-30 hours per week, with the potential to increase over time.

n

All cleaning products and equipment are supplied. No specialised cleaning machinery or equipment is required.

What You'll Be Doing

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Routine cleaning of offices, reception areas, therapy rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and shared spaces
n
- Cleaning and sanitising toys, therapy resources, surfaces and frequently touched areas
n
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting,



wiping surfaces and emptying bins
n
- Maintaining a consistently high standard of cleanliness across our Pimlico and Kirwan clinics
n
- Following appropriate hygiene and infection-control procedures
n
- Keeping cleaning supplies organised and advising when stock needs replenishing
n
- Cleaning and maintaining company vehicles, including basic interior and exterior cleaning (car wash)
n
- Checking vehicle fuel levels and topping up fuel when required
n
- Completing simple facilities-related tasks where appropriate
n
- Identifying and reporting maintenance, safety or cleaning issues
n
- Maintaining privacy and confidentiality while working within our clinics
n
- Ensuring facilities are secure when working after hours
n
- Being willing to lend a hand with practical tasks around the clinics when required
n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who is reliable, thorough and takes pride in their work.

n

You need to be comfortable working independently, following a regular cleaning schedule and noticing the smaller things that keep a busy allied health clinic clean and presentable.

n

As most work is completed after hours,



you must be comfortable working alone in our clinics without direct supervision and able to manage your workload independently.

n

Because our clinics support children and people with disability, attention to hygiene is particularly key. Cleaning and sanitising toys, therapy equipment and shared spaces is a routine and important part of the role.

n

You will also need basic confidence with a phone or computer, as we use electronic systems to allocate tasks, communicate requests and report issues.

Essential Requirements

- Current First Aid and CPR
n
- Current National Police Check
n
- Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
n
- Current provisional or open driver's licence
n
- Ability to travel between our Pimlico and Kirwan clinics
n
- Ability and willingness to work alone after hours
n
- Ability to work independently and reliably without direct supervision
n
- Basic confidence using a phone or computer for work-related communication and tasks
n

Desirable

n

Previous commercial, office, health, disability or community-service cleaning experience is desirable, but specialised healthcare cleaning experience is not required.

n

We're primarily looking for someone dependable who understands the importance of cleanliness, hygiene and taking care of the spaces our clients and team use every day.
