Yard Supervisor – Trade Supplies (Mon–Fri Only)

Builders Trading Cooperative is seeking a hands-on Yard Supervisor to lead site operations in Fyshwick. You will manage the yard team, keep daily dispatches running on schedule, and ensure local builder members receive accurate, on-time orders every time.

Key responsibilities

n

Oversee daily yard workflow, stock staging, loading, and dispatch operations

n

Lead, mentor, and schedule yard hands and forklift operators to maintain high morale and output

n

Move, load, and position heavy vehicles (MR/HR trucks) in and around the yard safely

n

Manage inventory control, receiving procedures, timber inspection, and stock count accuracy

n

Enforce strict WHS compliance, traffic management,



and load restraint standards (Chain of Responsibility)

n

Coordinate directly with customer service and transport drivers to resolve bottlenecks fast

n

About you

n

Essential: Valid High-Risk Forklift Licence (LF) with solid operational experience.

n

Proven leadership experience as a Yard Supervisor, Warehouse Leading Hand, or Logistics Team Leader.

n

Background in building materials, timber, or trade hardware (highly regarded, but transferable trade/logistics leadership welcomed).

n

Strong understanding of WHS standards and secure load restraint (Chain of Responsibility)

n

Sound computer literacy and experience working with inventory management systems / ERPs.
