Trailer Mechanic / Trailer Mechanic Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Trailer Mechanic and Trailer Mechanic Apprentice to join our growing workshop team. You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of trailers to ensure safety and preformance standards are met.

Trailer Mechanics typically handle inspection, repair, and maintenance of heavy vehicle components, including braking, suspensions, and hydraulic systems.

n

Perform routine maintenance and servicing of Trailers.

n

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.

n

Inspect braking, suspensions, and hydraulic systems.

n

Carry out welding, fabrication, and structural repairs.

n

Maintain accurante service records and reports.

n

Ensure all work complies with safety standards.

n

Key Responsibilities for Trailer Mechanic Apprentice

- Assist qualified mechanics with repairs and servicing.

- Use tools and equipment under supervision.
n
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
n
- Follow instructions and safety procedure.
n
- Attend TAFE training as part of your Apprenticeship.

Requirements for Trailer Mechanic

- Proven experience as a trailer or heavy vehicle mechanic.
n
- Robust Knowledge of trailer systems (brakes, hydraulic, suspension)
n
- Ability to diagnose faults and performance repairs efficiently.
n
- Trade qualifications in mechanical or automotive field.
n
- Valid driver's licence.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
