At Auto response, we're looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our small, close-knit team.

n

This isn't a role for someone who still needs their hand held.

n

We're looking for a technician with a minimum 5 years' experience post-qualification, including experience in an independent workshop.

n

You need to be confident taking ownership of your jobs from start to finish. We're a multi-brand workshop, so you'll need to be comfortable with whatever rolls through the door.

n

We want someone who can think for themselves, diagnose properly, make good decisions and get the job done without needing someone looking over their shoulder.

n

You don't need to know everything. Nobody does.

n

But you do need to love this industry, enjoy solving problems and still want to learn.

Who We're Looking For

n

You'll need:

n

Minimum 5 years' experience as a qualified Automotive Technician

n

Previous experience working in an independent workshop

n

Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology

n





Current manual driver's licence

n

Strong multi-brand servicing and repair experience

n

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability

n

Confidence working autonomously and making good decisions

n

The ability to work accurately and productively in a rapid-paced workshop

n

Pride in your workmanship and a high standard of quality

n

A genuine love of the automotive industry

n

A desire to keep learning and improving

n

The attitude to pitch in and help your teammates when things get busy

n

Most importantly, we need someone we can trust with a job.

n

If you're given a vehicle, we expect you to be able to assess it, work through the problem, communicate what you find and get it finished properly.

What You'll Be Doing

n

Servicing and repairing a wide range of vehicle brands

n

Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults

n

Carrying out inspections and identifying required repairs

n

Taking ownership of jobs from diagnosis through to completion

n

Communicating clearly with our Service Advisor about findings, repairs and job progress

n

Managing your own time and workload

n

Working productively while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

n

Helping the team when another set of experienced hands is needed

n

Producing work you're happy to put your name to
