Join our Infrastructure team as a full-time Leading Hand (Roads – Sealed) based in Tenterfield, NSW. In this hands-on supervisory role, you will lead a small team responsible for sealed road maintenance and rehabilitation works across the Shire to deliver roads the community can rely on.

Duties

- Supervising sealed roads maintenance and rehabilitation activities
n
- Leading and mentoring crew members and contractors
n
- Implementing and monitoring secure work practices, including toolbox talks, risk assessments and SWMS
n
- Overseeing traffic control setups and ensuring compliance with approved Traffic Control Plans
n
- Allocating daily tasks in line with works programs, reporting on progress, and operating plant
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Certificate IV in Civil Construction Operations (or equivalent)
n
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in civil construction or road maintenance environments
n




- Strong knowledge of WHS practices and current Traffic Controller and Traffic Management qualifications
n
- NSW Class HR Driver's Licence and proven ability to operate relevant civil plant and equipment
n
- Certificate IV in Frontline Management, Diploma in Civil Construction, or First Aid Certificate (highly regarded)
n
- 9 Day Fortnight and 4 weeks accumulative Annual Leave
n
- 2 weeks accumulative annual Sick Leave and 1 week MyLeave
n
