Adventist Aged Care has a casual Maintenance position available at Kings Langley, working 2–3 days per week. The successful applicant will be responsible for general maintenance of buildings, equipment and grounds. This is a casual, project-based position and is not a full time role.

Key responsibilities

- Undertake maintenance jobs, including those requiring carpentry skills
n
- Take on project work requiring the ability to work autonomously
n
- Respond to maintenance requests with a sense of urgency
n
- Maintain and repair equipment and grounds in a safe working setting
n
- Undertake routine maintenance works under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor when required
n
- Perform other maintenance duties and tasks not limited to those listed above
n
n
About you
n
n
- Understanding of corrective and preventive maintenance programs
n
- Understanding of chemical handling and storage
n
- Knowledge of how to safely use and store gases and flammable products
n
- Willingness to learn and be taught on the job
n
- Willing and helpful attitude
n
- Ability to work as part of a team and deal kindly and positively with a wide range of people in day-to-day working conditions, particularly within an elderly resident environment
n
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work
n
- Positive approach and willingness to learn
n
- Good level of physical fitness
n
- Trade certificate ideal. In-depth experience will also look upon favourably.
