Lead Security Analyst Cyber Threat Analyst - National Security / Defence

n

Location: ACT or SA
n Contract: 12 months, with 2 x 12-month extension options
n Pay: $140-$170 p/h including super (negotiable)
n Work type: Full-time, up to 40 hours per week
n Work arrangement: Onsite, with specific arrangements agreed with your supervisor on a case-by-case basis
n Clearance: Must hold a current security clearance

About the Role

n

Lead Security Analyst position available with our Federal Government client. This is hands-on security operations work. You will analyse threats, monitor security events, assess vulnerabilities and strengthen security controls protecting key systems.

n

You will work closely with technical teams and security leadership. The role also develops incident response procedures and supports security test and evaluation activities.

What You'll Be Doing

- Perform threat-driven analysis of system security
n




- Analyse threat intelligence for system-specific threats
n
- Monitor security events and information for security incidents
n
- Develop and use incident response plans and playbooks
n
- Analyse security vulnerabilities and propose solutions
n
- Review existing security controls for vulnerabilities
n
- Develop procedures for monitoring and analysing security information and events
n
- Support security test and evaluation activities for systems and products
n
- Support technical leadership as required
n

What You Bring (Essential Criteria)

n

n
- You've worked in a SOC as a Security Analyst
n
- You're an Australian citizen
n
- You must hold a current security clearance
n

n

Nice to Have (Desirable Criteria)

n

n
- Experience with or knowledge of Australian Government information security policies
n
- Knowledge of the Information Security Manual
n
- Knowledge of the Essential Eight
