About the role

n

GSA Group Pty Ltd is looking for a qualified Electrician to join our Townsville-based electrical, air conditioning and refrigeration team.

n

This full-time position offers a four-day work week, varied electrical work and opportunities to expand your skills within a supportive team. Our current work is in surrounding towns, so you'll need to be comfortable travelling and working away from Townsville.

n

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, communicates well with customers and teammates, and enjoys getting stuck in alongside a practical, hands‐on crew.

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Carrying out electrical installations, repairs and maintenance.
n
- Diagnosing faults and testing electrical equipment and systems.
n
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
n
- Completing work safely and in line with applicable standards and requirements.
n
- Communicating with customers and our service manager about job progress, findings and any additional work required.
n
- Recording clear job notes, photos, test results and materials used in Simpro.
n
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices.
n
- Travelling to surrounding towns and working away as required.
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- A qualified Electrician with a current Queensland Electrical Licence.
n




- Strong fault-finding skills and a practical approach to solving problems.
n
- Reliable attendance, good time management and pride in completing jobs properly.
n
- A commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.
n
- Clear communication and a professional approach with customers.
n
- The ability to work independently and contribute to the wider team.
n
- Willingness to travel and work away in surrounding towns.
n
- An interest in developing your skills across our electrical, air conditioning and refrigeration operations.
n
- Experience using Simpro is an advantage, but training can be provided.
n
