What You Will Be Doing

n

As a Trades Assistant, you will be working in the Pre Delivery Inspection Team. You will be required to work Monday-Friday, 5AM 1PM. You will be working on various mining equipment. You will be required to complete the following duties

n

- Assist Diesel Fitters and Mechanics with the pre-delivery inspection, assembly and preparation of Komatsu mining and heavy mobile equipment
n
- Carry out basic mechanical tasks including component removal and installation, greasing, fluid checks, cleaning and general machine preparation
n
- Assist with inspections, functional testing and fault rectification under the direction of qualified tradespeople Use hand and power tools to support mechanical repairs, maintenance and machine fit-out activities while following protected work procedures
n
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop workplace and ensure tools, equipment and components are prepared and available for PDI activities
n

What you will need

n

n
- Previous experience completing the above duties
n
- Previous experience in a TA based role
n
- Strong confidence using hand & power tools
n
- Previous experience working on machinery from Komatsu, Caterpillar, Hitachi, Volvo, Liebherr (highly desirable)
n
- Forklift, EWP and Dogging tickets (highly desirable)
n
- Valid Drivers Licence + reliable transport
n
- Ability to pass a Pre Employment Medical and Drug/Alcohol screen
