Job Description

A family owned practice in Forest Glen on the Sunshine Coast is looking for a VR GP with an interest in integrative, lifestyle or functional medicine. It has been running for over 10 years and works in long consultations, taking a preventative, root cause approach. Several doctors have moved on for personal reasons, leaving established patients who need a recent GP. The waiting list is currently 6 weeks, so the book is there from your first day.3

On Offer

- 70% of billings, with the practice retaining 30% plus GST
n
- $180 per hour guaranteed for the first 3 months, negotiable
n
- 50% of the margin on supplements you prescribe, taken as income or put towards training and equipment
n
- You set your own fees; current initial consultations run $490 to $612, reviews $245
n
- An established patient book to take over, with a 6 week waiting list behind it
n
- ACNEM trained doctors on site and a mentoring program in development for GPs moving into integrative medicine
n
- One to five days a week, including alongside work you keep elsewhere

The practice is family owned, has been open for over 10 years, and its patients already know what integrative medicine involves and come in prepared to pay for a longer consultation. There is a nurse rostered on every session and a second once more than 4 doctors are in, and the practice manager is a former RN who still works clinically. Naturopathy, nutrition, osteopathy, physiotherapy, counselling and medical acupuncture run from the same site, so referrals stay in house.

- Vocational Registration (FRACGP, FACRRM or equivalent)
n
- An interest in integrative, lifestyle, preventative or functional medicine, ACNEM training welcome

- Availability from one day a week
