Role overview:

n

The role sits within an external medical billing service. The person will log into clients' virtual practice management systems and manage billing and payment-related work on behalf of specialist medical practices.

n

Key responsibilities:

n

n
- Complete medical billing for external specialist practices
n
- Log into different client practice management systems remotely
n
- Process billing, payments and associated billing administration
n
- Manage more complex specialist billing including gap fees
n
- Work across several different specialist clients and systems
n
- Ensure billing is accurate and payments are managed correctly
n

n

Ideal background:

n

n
- Previous medical billing experience is essential
n
- Ideally coming from another medical billing company/competitor
n
- Alternatively, someone from a specialist medical practice with robust hands-on billing experience
n
- Experience within surgical or complex specialist practices would be highly regarded
n




- Gastroenterology, pain medicine or similar complex specialties would be particularly relevant
n
- GP-only practice experience is not ideal, as the billing is more complex and candidates may not have enough exposure to gap fees/specialist billing
n

Systems:

n

Experience across multiple practice management systems would be ideal, including:

n

n
- Genie
n
- Gentu / Gen2
n
- Clinic to Cloud
n
- Zedmed / similar specialist practice systems
n
- Any other relevant medical billing/practice management platforms
n

n
