Casual position working 2 days per week (with prospect to increase shifts) in a busy specialist Neurosurgery Practice. Tuesdays are essential, with the second day likely to be a Friday. Flexibility is required to assist with staff leave and personal leave coverage. You will work in a supportive and professional medical environment.

Key responsibilities

Welcoming patients and visitors

Answering phones and scheduling appointments & recalls
n
Confidentially managing patient records and data entry
n
Processing payments and Medicare claims
n
Handling incoming and outgoing medical correspondence
n
Providing administrative support to doctors and clinical staff
n
Maintaining a professional and welcoming reception area
n
About you
n
Must have experience working as a medical secretary (ideally at least 1-2 years)
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Professional presentation and positive attitude
n
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
n
Comfortable using computers and medical administrative systems
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and compliance with health privacy regulations
n
Ability to take initiative and be proactive
n
Experience in using Gentu / Genie medical software is an advantage
n
Supportive and friendly team environment
