Richglen Maintenance Services is a Central Queensland-based maintenance contractor delivering safe, efficient and cost-effective maintenance solutions across the mining and resources sector.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Shutdowns team in Mackay.

n

This is a senior leadership position with overall responsibility for the successful delivery of assigned shutdowns and projects — from planning and preparation through to execution, commercial management and close‐out.

n

You will lead Superintendents, Supervisors and project teams, work closely with key clients and have accountability for safety, quality, schedule, resources, commercial performance and project outcomes.

THE ROLE

n

Reporting to the Operations Manager – Shutdowns, you will provide strategic leadership across major shutdown and project works throughout the Bowen Basin.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Lead the planning, execution, control and close‐out of major shutdowns and projects
n
- Provide leadership, direction and support to Superintendents, Supervisors and project teams
n
- Maintain overall accountability for project safety, quality, schedule, resources and performance
n
- Manage project budgets, costs, forecasts and commercial outcomes
n
- Review estimates, pricing, variations and commercial opportunities
n
- Monitor project scope, schedule and resources and implement corrective action when required
n
- Identify and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle
n
- Lead planning meetings and ensure project teams are aligned on scope, schedule and deliverables
n
- Manage contractual obligations, variations, claims and project documentation
n
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with key client representatives
n
- Act as a senior point of contact for operational,



project and commercial matters
n
- Identify opportunities for repeat work and contribute to the continued growth of the Shutdowns business
n
- Lead project and shutdown close‐out meetings and ensure lessons learned are captured
n
- Mentor and develop emerging leaders within the project and supervision teams
n
- Maintain a strong safety culture and lead by example
n

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

n

We are looking for a proven senior project leader who can operate confidently in a fast‐paced mining and heavy industrial environment.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- Significant experience in coal mining, heavy industrial maintenance, shutdowns or project environments
n
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and major shutdowns from planning through to completion
n
- Strong commercial and financial management skills, including budgets, forecasting, variations and cost control
n
- Experience managing project scope, schedules, resources and competing priorities
n
- Strong client relationship and contract management experience
n
- Proven leadership experience managing Superintendents, Supervisors and multidisciplinary teams
n
- Strong technical and trade knowledge
n
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
n
- A proactive approach to problem solving and risk management
n
- Strong understanding of safety, quality and compliance requirements
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
n

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

n

Bachelor of Engineering or similar qualification desirable
