Job Description

The role will involve supporting broadacre cropping operations, operating agricultural machinery and equipment, assisting with crop management and maintenance, and undertaking general farm duties as required.

Key responsibilities

- As a Technical Officer – Agricultural Instruction – Cropping, you will support the day-to-day operations of the College Farm, with a primary focus on cropping activities and the delivery of practical agricultural training.
n
- You will also assist with the delivery and assessment of supervised agricultural training.
n
- The successful applicant will hold a C-class driver's licence and will be supported by the College to obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and an HR licence within the first 12 months, as well as any other training required for the role.

What you need

n

n
- Experience in broadacre cropping and knowledge of agricultural technologies, including variable rate application, GPS systems, self-propelled sprayers and controlled traffic farming (CTF), would be highly desirable.
n
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
n
- We will provide access to further training, tickets, licences and any other qualifications you may require.
