Our client is a leader in their industry servicing large commercial, industrial and manufacturing industries across Australia. Due to growth, we are seeking a Warehouse, Logistics and Inventory Manager to join their team in this newly created role.

The Warehouse, Logistics and Inventory Manager is responsible for warehouse stock levels, transportation networks, and daily supply chain workflows to ensure goods move efficiently and cost-effectively throughout branches and business entities.

The role:

- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, run cycle counts, forecast demand, and prevent shrinkage or stockouts.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain required business reporting.
- Procurement Management: Manage teams responsible for the procurement process and outcomes.
- Logistics & Transportation: Manage shipping carriers, negotiate freight rates, plan optimal routes, and track delivery times.
- Warehouse Operations: Supervise warehouse staff, improve storage layouts, and enforce safety rules.
- Systems & Data: Use ERP and Warehouse Management Systems to track real-time inventory and analyse KPIs.
- Vendor Management: Build relationships with suppliers and transport providers to secure reliable service and lower costs. Evaluate, select, and vet suppliers based on pricing, quality, delivery capability, and compliance.
- Contract Negotiation:



Lead complex negotiations to secure favourable terms, pricing structures, and Service Level Agreements.
- Sourcing & Strategy: Develop and execute long-term procurement and category strategies that align with company goals and total cost of ownership in conjunction with relevant business unit leaders.
- Risk Management: Implement contingency plans to handle supply disruptions, tariff issues, single-source dependencies, and price volatility.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, legal, operations, and sustainability teams to streamline workflows and enforce corporate purchasing policies.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and train junior purchasing staff and buyers.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators such as cost savings, supplier performance scores, and contract compliance.

What we're looking for:

- Qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of proven experience in warehouse, inventory, transport management, procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain operations.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel interstate
- Strong data analysis, problem-solving, team leadership, and software fluency (WMS/ERP tools).




- Proficiency in ERP and procurement software (e.g., Navision, SAP Ariba, Oracle).
- Exceptional negotiation, data analysis, problem-solving, and relationship-management skills.
- Leadership capability with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and engage stakeholders
