Full-Time Chef - Grand Royale Function Centre, Granville NSW 2142

Grand Royale Function Centre is a well-established and highly regarded venue located in Granville, NSW, renowned for delivering exceptional dining experiences for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions. Known for its excellence in event management and catering services, the venue is committed to maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction. We are seeking a full-time Chef to lead and support kitchen operations across a wide range of functions and events.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and design menus for weddings, corporate functions, and special events in consultation with management
- Prepare, season, and cook a wide range of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
- Oversee food preparation and kitchen operations to ensure consistency, quality, and timely service
- Monitor portion control, food quality, and presentation standards during all stages of preparation and service
- Supervise, train,



and coordinate kitchen staff to maintain efficient workflow and high performance
- Manage stock ordering, inventory control, stock rotation, and supplier coordination
- Monitor kitchen costs, minimise food wastage, and assist in maintaining budgetary targets
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety regulations
- Develop and adapt menus to cater for dietary requirements and client preferences
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
- Work collaboratively with management and event staff to deliver exceptional catering and dining experiences

What We're Looking For:

- Relevant culinary qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience working as a Chef
- Strong knowledge of commercial cookery techniques, kitchen management, and food safety practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality and events environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Passion for food and commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences
