T42 Electrical & Air Conditioning is looking for an experienced and qualified Air Conditioning Technician to join our growing team.

n

This role would suit a capable technician who enjoys residential air-conditioning work and takes pride in providing accurate fault-finding, quality repairs, thorough servicing and professional installations.

n

The role is focused on technical ability, workmanship, reliability and customer care.

n

Our office is currently located in Worongary and will be relocating to Burleigh in the near future.

About the role

n

You will work across the Gold Coast, primarily completing residential air-conditioning servicing, fault-finding, repairs and installations.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Servicing split and ducted air-conditioning systems
n
- Diagnosing faults and identifying the cause of system issues
n
- Completing repairs and replacing faulty components
n
- Installing split, multi-split and ducted air-conditioning systems
n




- Completing preventative maintenance and thorough system cleans
n
- Testing systems and confirming correct operation
n
- Identifying safety, performance and efficiency concerns
n
- Clearly explaining faults and recommended solutions to customers
n
- Completing accurate job notes, photographs and documentation
n
- Preparing and presenting quotes for repairs, replacements and upgrades
n
- Taking customer payments upon completion of work
n
- Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked company van
n
- Treating customers' homes with care
n
- Leaving all work areas clean and tidy
n
- Supporting apprentices and other team members when required
n
- Representing T42 professionally on every job
n

n

You will be supported by an experienced office team that assists with scheduling, customer communication and job coordination.

n

Our usual working hours are approximately 7:30am–3:30pm, although hours may vary depending on the scheduled work. Some earlier starts will be required for team meetings and training.

n

Overtime is available, and a willingness to assist with overtime when reasonably required is preferred.

About you

n

To be successful in this role, you must:

n

n




- Be a qualified Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic
n
- Hold a current Refrigerant Handling Licence
n
- Hold the required Queensland electrical licence or restricted electrical licence
n
- Hold a current driver's licence
n
- Have experience servicing, diagnosing, repairing and installing residential air-conditioning systems
n
- Be confident fault-finding split and ducted systems
n
- Be able to work independently
n
- Take pride in completing neat, safe and high-quality work
n
- Be reliable, organised and accountable
n
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers
n
- Complete job notes, photographs and paperwork accurately
n
- Be committed to safety and industry standards
n
- Be willing to support apprentices and work as part of a team
n
- Be open to feedback and ongoing training
n

Experience with ducted systems, control faults, warranty work or ServiceM8 would be beneficial but is not essential.
