Job Description

We are currently working with a Council in Central West Queensland who are seeking an experienced Works Supervisor to join their team on a temporary basis for a period of 6 months.

The position will suit someone with a solid background in civil construction, with experience in flood repair works highly regarded.

n

An hourly rate will be negotiated based on experience. Travel expenses will be covered at the beginning and end of the assignment, and self-contained accommodation will be provided for the full duration of the assignment.
n Requirements:

n

- Proven experience in civil construction, including the supervision of crews, programming, scheduling and cost control.
n
- Previous experience working within Local Government will be well regarded.
n
- Experience in flood repair or recovery works will be well regarded.
n
- Sound knowledge of TMR Specifications.
n
- Knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements relevant to the position, including work health and safety and risk management.
n
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Road Construction and Maintenance, or equivalent, will be well regarded.
n
- General Construction Safety Card.
n
- Minimum C class driver's licence.
n
- Ability to commence mid to late September.
