About the role

We are seeking a Workshop Coordinator to join our team at Prestige Car & Truck Repairs in Wodonga, Victoria on a full-time basis. This is a key operational position that will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of our workshop. As Workshop Coordinator, you will be the crucial link between our administrative team, technicians, and customers, managing workflows, scheduling, and day-to-day workshop operations to maximise efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

n

Scheduling and coordinating vehicle servicing and repair appointments to optimise technician time and resource allocation

n

Managing workshop job cards, work orders, and tracking vehicle progress through various repair stages

n

Liaising with customers to provide updates on vehicle status, service estimates, and completion timelines

n

Coordinating parts ordering and inventory management to ensure technicians have necessary materials for scheduled work

n

Maintaining accurate records of all workshop activities, repairs, and maintenance performed

n

Supporting technicians by resolving operational issues and ensuring a safe, organised workshop environment

n

Assisting with quality control checks and ensuring all work meets company standards

n

Managing workshop administration, including documentation, filing, and compliance records

n





Communicating effectively with the management team regarding workshop performance and any operational concerns

n

Contributing to the achievement of workshop targets and service delivery objectives

What we're looking for

n

Proven experience in a workshop, automotive service centre, or similar operational environment

n

Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously

n

Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with technicians, customers, and management

n

Proficiency with workshop management software and computer systems, or willingness to learn quickly

n

Sound knowledge of automotive terminology, vehicle servicing, and repair processes

n

Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation

n

Problem-solving ability and initiative in managing day-to-day operational challenges

n

A professional, customer-focused approach to service delivery

n

Reliability and punctuality with the ability to work effectively within a team environment

n

Relevant qualifications in workshop coordination, business administration, or automotive services are advantageous but not essential
