Employment Compass is an HR consulting company that works differently. We support more than 100 retained small and medium businesses with employment relations, workplace compliance and HR advisory, and we build our own technology to do it well.

Most of our clients are community-managed early childhood services, alongside professional services, trades, retail and hospitality businesses. Our team works every day in a command-driven platform that handles award research, documents and client records, so their time goes to advice, and their feedback decides what our engineers build next.

About the Role

n

This is the role we grow HR Advisors from. As HR Coordinator you keep the advisory engine running: triaging enquiries, coordinating matters from intake to resolution, preparing contracts and letters in our platform, and keeping the records our advice is built on accurate for more than 100 businesses and the people they employ. Some of that is still administration, and we say so: the platform does the repetitive part. You sit beside the Director, the HR Manager and our HR Business Partners every day and see how advice is made.

Key Responsibilities

n

Triage advice-line and inbox enquiries, and route each matter with a clear summary

n

Coordinate client onboarding, document collection and follow-ups through to completion

n

Prepare contracts, letters and policy packs in our platform, and check each one

n

Maintain client employee files, contract registers and Annual Wage Review letter packs

n

Research awards through our legal corpus and draft routine advisory notes for review

n

Your Progression

n

We hire coordinators to become advisors. The exposure is immediate: real clients, real matters, and a platform that does the paperwork.

n

In your first 90 days you own inbox triage and prepare contracts under advisor review

n

By six months you run a group of clients and take routine enquiries with support

n

At twelve months, or earlier where you show us you are ready,



a formal review moves you into an HR Advisor role with your own portfolio and advisor pay

What You'll Bring

n

We want a coordinator who is organised to the bone and at home with AI tools. If four of the five land, apply.

A tertiary HR, employment relations or business qualification, completed or in final year

n

Day-to-day use of AI tools in work or study that you can show us

n

A year in HR administration or coordination, or a robust graduate record

n

You check documents and records against the source before they go anywhere

n

You want to advise, and employment law interests you

$65,000 + super to start, stepping to $70,000 at six months on the milestones above

How the Process Works

n

Four steps, and we tell you where you stand after each one.

Within one business day we send a link to record three short video answers on your phone, 90 seconds each, whenever suits you in the next five days. Same questions for everyone, re-record allowed, and written or audio answers are welcome instead.

Shortlisted candidates do a 45-minute practical task in our platform, the work a coordinator does in week one.

n

A 45-minute interview with the Director in Parramatta, then references and an offer.
