Walco Aluminium is an established Australian-owned manufacturer specialising in quality aluminium windows, doors, screens and shopfronts for commercial and residential projects.

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Granville on a permanent, full-time basis.

n

This is a hands-on engineering role within a manufacturing environment, providing an opportunity to work across production processes, machinery, equipment and continuous improvement initiatives.

About the role

n

n
- Provide mechanical engineering support across manufacturing operations
n
- Review and improve production processes, machinery and equipment
n
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, quality and safety
n
- Assist with the design, modification and implementation of mechanical systems and equipment
n
- Troubleshoot mechanical and production issues and develop practical solutions
n
- Support the installation, commissioning and maintenance of plant and equipment
n
- Prepare and review technical documentation, drawings and specifications
n




- Work with production teams, suppliers and contractors on engineering requirements
n
- Contribute to continuous improvement across the business
n

About you

n

To be successful in this position, you will have:

n

n
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
n
- A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience
n
- Strong mechanical engineering and problem-solving skills
n
- Experience in a manufacturing, production or industrial setting
n
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation
n
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
n
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
n
- A practical, hands-on and solutions-focused approach
n

n

Experience within aluminium manufacturing, fabrication, building products or a similar production environment would be highly regarded.

n

An attractive remuneration package between $79,000 - $80,000 will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
