Job Description
Key responsibilities
n
Review and assess Request for Tender documents, specifications, geotechnical reports, and hazardous material surveys during the tender stage
n
Perform accurate quantity take-offs and prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities and pricing schedules for demolition scopes, structural dismantling, soft stripping, and waste disposal
n
Solicit, review, analyse, and rank subcontractor and supplier tender quotations
n
Prepare and submit Requests for Information to clients, coordinate site inspections, and compile subcontractor and supplier scopes of work
n
Prepare tender submission documents, including formal tender letters addressing the client's criteria, programs, and Quality, Safety, and Environment documentation
n
Negotiate and finalise contracts with clients in consultation with the General Manager
n
Administer, interpret, and enforce head contracts and subcontracts, ensuring strict compliance with notification periods, time bars, indemnity clauses, and risk allocation provisions
n
Draft, negotiate, and execute subcontractor agreements, supply contracts, and plant hire agreements
n
Establish and maintain project cost control systems, monitoring actual expenditure against approved budgets and prepare monthly Work in Progress reports, cost-to-complete forecasts, and cash flow projections
n
Manage variation identification, pricing, and submission, and compile Extension of Time claims alongside associated prolongation and disruption costs
n
About you
n
Demonstrated professional experience in construction estimating, contract administration, and commercial management is required
n
Experience within the demolition and civil earthworks industry is considered a distinct advantage
n
Current driver's licence,
General Construction Induction (White Card), Asbestos Awareness, and Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention cards will be required
n
Proficient knowledge and advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are required
n
Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Project and specialist estimating software would be an advantage
n
High level of written and verbal communication skills is required
n
High attention to detail, solid arithmetic skills, team collaboration, and the ability to self-motivate and prioritise during heavy workloads are essential
n
Formal training in quantity surveying, estimating, building and construction, project management, and associated software is highly desirable
