Instrument an entire AWS estate with OpenTelemetry - and make it a security sensor.

AWS has called time on the X-Ray SDK and Daemon. The future is ADOT - and we're building a client's entire security observability capability on it from day one: Lambda layers, EC2 Collector agents via SSM, ECS sidecars, cross-account trace aggregation, the lot.

CSECNS needs a senior engineer who lives in the terminal and ships infrastructure as code. You'll do the hands-on build across a genuine multi-account estate: cross-account IAM, KMS CMKs, EventBridge buses, Kinesis pipelines, X-Ray Remote Sampler governance, and W3C trace-context propagation through Transit Gateway, ALBs, and WAFs.

You bring:

- 5+ years AWS engineering with a security lens

- Production OpenTelemetry experience - SDK instrumentation and Collector configuration
n
- CDK (TypeScript) or Terraform fluency; everything you build goes through a PR
n
- Cross-account IAM confidence and SSM fleet-management experience
n
- Working code ability in two or more of Python, Node.js, Java, .NET, Go

6-month contract with phase-gate break points. Full time through the build phases. Sydney-based, remote-first. Australian work rights required.
