Role Overview

n

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data / Reporting Developer to join our client team responsible for data modelling, ETL and reporting solutions supporting Seismic and similar reporting platforms.

n

The role requires strong hands-on technical expertise in SQL, SSIS, ETL and data modelling, together with experience developing and supporting enterprise reporting solutions.

n

The successful candidate will work closely with business analysts, product owners, reporting teams and other technology stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable and high-quality data solutions..

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Design, develop and maintain data models supporting reporting and analytics requirements.
n
- Develop robust ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
n
- Write complex and optimised SQL queries, stored procedures and data transformation logic.
n
- Develop and maintain data pipelines feeding Seismic and/or similar reporting tools.
n
- Analyse existing reporting solutions and identify opportunities for optimisation and automation.
n
- Work with business and reporting teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
n
- Perform data mapping, transformation and reconciliation across multiple source systems.
n
- Ensure data quality, accuracy,



completeness and consistency across reporting outputs.
n
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.
n
- Support testing, deployment and release activities across development and production environments.
n
- Produce technical documentation covering data models, ETL processes and reporting interfaces.
n
- Work collaboratively with onsite and offshore technology teams.
n

Essential Technical Skills

n

n
- Strong SQL Server / T-SQL development experience.
n
- Strong hands-on experience with SSIS and ETL development.
n
- Solid understanding of relational database design and data modelling.
n
- Experience designing and implementing data transformation and integration processes.
n
- Experience with enterprise reporting tools/platforms, preferably Seismic or comparable products.
n
- Ability to analyse complex datasets and troubleshoot data-quality issues.
n
- Positive understanding of data warehousing concepts and reporting architectures.
n
- Experience with performance tuning of SQL queries and ETL processes.
n
- Strong software-development lifecycle and Agile delivery experience.
n

Desirable Skills

n

n
- Previous Seismic experience.
n
- Experience with other enterprise reporting platforms comparable to Seismic.
n
- Knowledge of financial-services data and reporting standards.
n
