About the role

We are seeking a Permanent Part Time Truck Driver/Removalist to join our team at our Tuggerah, NSW facility. This is a part-time position that offers flexibility whilst maintaining consistent, reliable work (full time hours during our busy period) As a Truck Driver/Removalist, you will play a vital role in our operations, ensuring that goods and removals are transported safely and efficiently to their destinations. This role combines driving responsibilities with removalist duties, requiring both technical driving skills and physical capability to handle goods with care and professionalism.

Key responsibilities
n
Operating trucks of various sizes to transport goods and removals to specified locations safely and on time
n
Loading and unloading goods from vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to weight distribution guidelines
n
Conducting pre-journey vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe working condition and reporting any defects or maintenance requirements
n
Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, collections and mileage as required
n
Providing excellent customer service during removals and deliveries, treating clients' belongings and goods with care and respect
n
Following all traffic regulations and adhering to secure driving practices to maintain a professional driving record
n
Communicating effectively with the team and other staff members to coordinate routes and resolve any issues that arise during operations
n
Assisting with basic vehicle maintenance and keeping the truck clean and presentable
n
What we're looking for
n
A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) truck licence appropriate to the vehicles you will be operating
n
Proven experience as a truck driver and/or removalist
n
Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry goods regularly, as removalist duties require manual handling of items
n
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe driving and vehicle operation practices
n
Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work part-time hours consistently
n
Excellent customer service skills and a professional approach to client interactions
n
Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and the ability to conduct pre-journey inspections
n
Forklift licence highly regarded
