We are partnering with a well-established consultancy with a strong pipeline of work to appoint an Associate – Environmental Approvals in Melbourne. You’ll play a key role delivering approvals-focused projects, building capability across the environmental function, and stepping into a leadership pathway as the team grows.
You’ll join a high-impact team where your experience will be valued and visible. This is ideal for someone who enjoys technical delivery, mentoring, and working closely with clients and contractors.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and deliver environmental approvals projects end-to-end
- Manage and contribute to contaminated land assessments and related work
- Coordinate and oversee contractors and external stakeholders
- Support growth of the environmental capability (processes, quality, mentoring)
- Build strong client relationships and contribute to project success
About you
- Prior experience in environmental consulting (essential)
- Demonstrated experience in contaminated land
- Robust knowledge/experience across approvals and project delivery
- Confident working with and managing contractors
- Motivated to grow into a Team Lead style role over time
- Experience from adjacent sectors (e.g., agriculture, waste, construction) is welcomed
