Job Description

The successful applicant will be responsible for the manufacture and upholstery of a range of commercial and custom-made furniture products. The role involves working from specifications and drawings and producing finished products to a consistently high standard.

Key responsibilities

- Cutting, sewing and fitting upholstery fabrics and materials
n
- Upholstering chairs, lounges, panels and other furniture
n
- Preparing and fitting foam, padding and fabrics
n
- Reading and working from drawings, specifications and job instructions
n
- Ensuring upholstery work meets required quality and finish standards
n
- Carrying out repairs, modifications and finishing work where required
n
- Working efficiently to production schedules and deadlines
n
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
n
- Working collaboratively with other members of the production team
n

About you

n

n
- Relevant experience as an upholsterer
n
- Demonstrated experience in commercial or furniture upholstery
n
- Valuable knowledge of upholstery techniques, materials and tools
n
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision
n
- Ability to interpret drawings and production instructions
n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
n
- Ability to work as part of a production team
n
- Relevant qualifications or trade experience will be highly regarded
n
