Alzino & Co Earthmoving is a proudly family-owned and operated civil construction company with a long-standing history across South East Queensland. With a growing team, a diverse range of civil projects and a large fleet of company-owned plant and equipment, we are looking for a Junior Civil Engineer / QA Officer to join our team.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate or junior-level Civil Engineer looking to gain valuable hands-on experience across civil construction, quality assurance and project documentation.

n

The Role

n

Working closely with our Senior Project Engineer, Project Managers and Site Supervisors, you will assist with the delivery and quality control of civil construction projects from planning through to completion.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Assisting Senior Project Engineer with day-to-day project requirements
n
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of project Quality Assurance systems
n
- Preparing, maintaining and reviewing QA documentation
n
- Assisting with ITPs, inspection records, test results and project records
n
- Coordinating and maintaining construction documentation
n
- Assisting with project compliance and quality control
n
- Reviewing plans, specifications and construction requirements
n
- Liaising with site supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers and clients
n
- Conducting site inspections and assisting with quality checks
n
- Assisting with project handovers and completion documentation
n




- Supporting the team with general engineering and project administration duties
n
- Ensuring works are completed in accordance with project specifications, drawings and relevant standards
n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who is keen to learn, organised and ready to get involved.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- A degree or qualification in Civil Engineering, or be nearing completion
n
- Previous civil construction experience is advantageous but not essential
n
- A strong interest in civil construction and project deliveryGood attention to detail and a methodical approach to documentation
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
n
- Good computer skills and confidence learning recent systems
n
- A willingness to spend time in office and learn how projects are delivered in the field
n
- A current driver's license
n
- A positive attitude and a genuine willingness to develop your skills
n
