Role: Maintenance Fitter

Rate: $45-52 an hour + 15% shift loading

n

Roster: Monday to Friday 2:30pm – 10:30pm

n

We are currently seeking a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter to join a leading FMCG manufacturing business.

n

This is a great opportunity for a skilled fitter who enjoys a hands-on maintenance role and is looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday afternoon shift with a well-established company.

n

FMCG or food manufacturing experience is highly regarded, but not essential.

n

The Role

n

Working as part of a supportive maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring production machinery and equipment remains safe, reliable and operational.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance
n
- Attending to breakdowns and mechanical faults
n
- Diagnosing and repairing production machinery
n
- Maintaining conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings and pneumatic equipment
n
- Completing machinery adjustments, repairs and changeovers
n




- Assisting with maintenance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Working closely with production to minimise downtime
n
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently
n

About You

n

We are looking for a hands-on and reliable Maintenance Fitter who has:

n

n
- Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner trade qualification
n
- Previous industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
n
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
n
- Experience with production machinery and equipment
n
- A proactive approach to preventative maintenance
n
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- A strong commitment to safety
n
- FMCG or food manufacturing experience – highly desirable
n
