The Role

As a Casual Chef with AVC, you will be responsible for:

- Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality meals
- Working across various kitchen sections as required
- Food preparation and mise en place
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean, organised and productive kitchen
- Working collaboratively with the kitchen and wider hospitality team
- Assisting during busy service periods and functions when required

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

- Has previous experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
- Has a genuine passion for food and hospitality
- Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Is reliable, punctual and well presented




- Can work independently as well as part of a team
- Has strong communication and organisational skills
- Takes pride in cleanliness, food safety and quality
- Has flexibility to work across weekdays, evenings and weekends
- Holds Australian working rights

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience is highly regarded.
