Retail Tenancy Design & Delivery Manager

We are seeking an experienced Retail Tenancy Design & Delivery Manager to join our growing team in Wollongong, NSW. This is a full-time position based in our Wollongong office, where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design, planning and delivery of retail tenancy projects from conception through to completion. This role is strategically important to our commercial property management operations, ensuring that retail spaces are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards that meet both our clients' and tenants' expectations.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the end-to-end design and delivery of retail tenancy projects, including planning, coordination and execution

Liaising with architects, contractors, consultants and stakeholders to ensure projects meet design specifications and timeline requirements

Managing project budgets, monitoring expenditure and identifying cost efficiencies without compromising quality

Preparing and reviewing detailed project briefs, design drawings and technical documentation

Conducting site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with agreed standards and building regulations





Coordinating with retail tenants to understand their requirements and ensure their needs are incorporated into the design and delivery process

Managing project timelines and schedules, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum

Preparing comprehensive project reports and providing regular updates to clients and senior management

Ensuring all work complies with relevant legislation, building codes, health and safety requirements and company policies

Building and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, suppliers and service providers to support successful project delivery

What we're looking for

Minimum 5–7 years' experience in retail tenancy delivery

Proven track record of successfully delivering retail or commercial tenancy projects from design through to practical completion

Strong knowledge of retail design principles, tenant requirements and best practices in retail space optimisation

Excellent project management skills, including experience with budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation

Proficiency with project management software and tools, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Experience coordinating with architects, builders, consultants and other qualified service providers

Strong understanding of building codes, planning regulations and compliance requirements relevant to retail and commercial spaces

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to liaise effectively with internal teams, clients and external partners

Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management

Qualifications in project management, construction management, architecture or a related discipline are highly desirable

Experience working in the Illawarra region or with regional property portfolios is an advantage
