About the Role

The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) is seeking experienced Functional Automation Test Analysts to join its Testing Practice and support the delivery of the myAMSA digital transformation program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, automating, and maintaining testing activities across Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions, including Power Pages, Power Apps, Dataverse, and integrated enterprise services. The role requires a balance of manual and automated testing skills, with a strong focus on implementing automated regression testing within Azure Dev Ops CI/CD pipelines.

Candidates must be able to quickly understand business processes, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute effectively within multidisciplinary Agile delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities Functional & System Testing

- Analyse business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Develop comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
- Execute functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- Validate end-to-end business processes across multiple applications and environments.
- Identify, document, prioritise, and manage defects through resolution.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Power Platform Testing

- Perform testing of:
- Dynamics 365 applications
- Power Apps
- Power Pages
- Dataverse solutions
- Business process workflows
- Power Platform integrations

- Validate platform configurations, security roles, business rules, and workflows.
- Support testing activities across development, test, UAT, and production release cycles.

Test Automation UI Automation





- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated UI regression test suites.
- Develop automation frameworks using:
- Playwright
- Selenium
- Easy Repro
- Similar enterprise automation tools

- Improve automation coverage and testing efficiency.

API & Integration Automation

- Develop and execute automated API tests for:
- REST services
- Dataverse APIs
- Custom APIs
- Authentication and security flows
- Azure API Management integrations

- Utilise testing tools including:

- Postman
- Newman
- REST Assured
- Playwright API Testing

CI/CD Integration

- Integrate automated testing into Azure Dev Ops pipelines.
- Ensure automated tests are executed as part of continuous integration and release processes.
- Monitor automated test execution results and resolve failures.
- Support quality gates and release readiness assessments.

Test Management & Reporting

- Maintain test plans, test scripts, traceability matrices, and test evidence.
- Produce testing status reports and quality metrics.
- Support defect triage and root cause analysis.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of AMSA testing practices.
