Pidapipo Pty Ltd, trading as Pidapipó, is a Melbourne-based Italian gelato business offering artisanal gelato, gelato cakes, chocolate and other specialty products.

The business is currently seeking an experienced Retail Manager for a permanent full-time position in Carlton VIC 3053. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day retail operations, supervising staff, coordinating stock and maintaining high standards of customer service and store presentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the retail store.
- Supervising, training and coordinating retail staff to ensure efficient and professional service.
- Preparing staff rosters and allocating duties according to operational requirements.
- Monitoring stock levels and coordinating the ordering, receiving and appropriate storage of products and supplies.
- Maintaining product displays and ensuring high standards of store presentation.
- Monitoring sales performance, stock movements and day-to-day operational costs.
- Ensuring high standards of customer service and responding professionally to customer enquiries and feedback.




- Coordinating with staff and management to maintain efficient workflows and service standards.
- Maintaining accurate sales, stock and operational records.
- Supporting the implementation of retail procedures and operational standards.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

About You

- At least 1 year of relevant experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, staff supervision and team coordination skills.
- Experience in retail operations, stock control and customer service.
- Good understanding of product presentation and retail service standards.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
- Solid attention to detail and a professional approach to work.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy customer-facing retail environment.
