CHEF DE PARTIE - Pool Terrace | Reef View Hotel

Located within Hamilton Island's Reef View Hotel, Pool Terrace is a busy all-day dining operation delivering three distinct service periods - buffet breakfast, à la carte lunch and à la carte dinner - alongside in-room dining for hotel guests.

We're looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join the team, with this prospect focused predominantly on dinner and late-night in-room dining. Working across Pans, Pass, Larder and Room Service, you'll need to confidently take ownership of your section, adapt across different areas of the kitchen and maintain consistency through busy service.

What you'll be doing

You'll work across Pans, Pass, Larder and Room Service, with a particular focus on dinner and late-night in-room dining. You'll manage your mise en place, take ownership of your section and ensure dishes are delivered efficiently and consistently throughout service.





With restaurant and room service orders operating alongside each other, you'll need to stay organised, communicate well with the brigade and confidently manage competing service demands while maintaining quality and presentation.

What we're looking for

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience at Chef de Partie level within a commercial kitchen
- Confidence working across Pans, Pass and Larder sections
- Experience within busy à la carte restaurant or hotel kitchen environments
- Confidence independently managing a section through dinner service
- Strong organisation and ability to manage multiple service requirements
- Flexibility to work dinner and late-night service as required
