Are you an engineering student looking for an exciting opportunity to gain some hands-on industry experience? At Delta we have a number of summer internships available for university students from first year right through to final year. We have opportunities available for Mechanical Engineering students. However, we would consider any of the following disciplines:

Delta is a major Australian energy company, supplying safe and reliable electricity to power hundreds of thousands of Australian homes and businesses.

Vales Point is a dynamic coal-fired power station delivering a dependable supply of 24-hour baseload electricity. Situated on the stunning NSW Central Coast, it boasts an impressive installed capacity of approximately 1,320 megawatts. In a move towards sustainability, a portion of Vales Point's coal supply is co-fired with biomass, integrating renewable fuel into our energy production.

About You:

Currently studying a Bachelor's degree and you're ready to put theory into practice and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, large-scale industrial environment. Students studying Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Mechatronics Engineering are encouraged to apply.

With a proactive and solutions-focused approach, you'll bring strong attention to detail, organisation and a willingness to take ownership of your work. Good communication comes naturally, along with an ability to build positive working relationships with people across the business.

Most importantly, you'll have a genuine interest in your chosen discipline,



a willingness to learn and a desire to continue building your skills and experience as you develop your engineering career.

Delta's Summer Internship Program:

- 12 week paid internship program during summer university break (commencing early December 2025)
- Competitive base hourly rate of $39.33 to $44.50 plus weekly location allowance and an impressive 14% superannuation
- 35 hour work week
- Work within our Assets, Maintenance and Operations teams at our Vales Point Power Station alongside highly skilled Engineers, Tradespeople and Operators
- Gain exposure to a range of interesting projects and develop your skills in a heavy industry environment
- Utilise our Employee Assistance Program for personal and qualified support
- Enjoy working close to home on the beautiful Central Coast NSW
- Potential to join our Graduate Program
