About the role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Functions & Hospitality Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of all Club functions and events, while overseeing the day-to-day operation of hospitality and bar services. This hands-on leadership role combines event sales, venue operations, team leadership, customer experience, and commercial performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in growing function revenue, strengthening the Club's hospitality offering, and enhancing the experience of members and guests.

Key responsibilities

- Manage the end-to-end functions process, from enquiry through to event delivery and post-event follow-up

- Coordinate weddings, celebrations, corporate events, conferences, member functions, and Club events

- Meet with prospective clients and prepare proposals, quotations, and event plans

- Actively drive function sales and develop strategies to increase bookings and revenue

- Maintain and develop function packages, pricing structures, and promotional material

- Ensure all events are delivered to a high standard and exceed customer expectations

- Oversee daily hospitality and bar operations

- Deliver exceptional customer service standards across all hospitality areas





- Manage beverage purchasing, stock control, inventory, and supplier relationships

- Monitor beverage margins and identify opportunities to improve profitability

About you

- Demonstrated experience in hospitality, events, venue, or functions management

- Robust sales and relationship management skills

- Excellent organisational and time management abilities

- Outstanding communication and customer service skills

- Experience leading and developing hospitality teams

- Sound commercial and financial acumen

- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

- A flexible approach to working evenings, weekends, and major Club events

- Responsible Person Badge

- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
