We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our organisation as Group Director Strategic Business Development.

This enterprise-wide leadership role will drive the identification, development and execution of strategic business development and growth opportunities across Epworth's diverse portfolio of hospitals, clinical services and emerging healthcare models.

The Opportunity

As a key member of the Epworth senior leadership team, you will lead the development and implementation of business development and growth strategies that strengthen Epworth's market position, expand clinical services and create long-term enterprise value.

Working closely with the Epworth Executive and Hospital Executive teams, you will:

- Develop and execute enterprise-wide growth, market expansion and business development strategies
- Identify and assess emerging healthcare opportunities, partnerships, clinical service enhancements and new models of care
- Support clinical service growth planning and strategic investment initiatives
- Drive specialist medical engagement, recruitment and retention strategies aligned to Epworth's Strategic Plan
- Translate market intelligence,



healthcare trends and competitive insights into actionable growth strategies
- Partner with executive leaders to shape Epworth's next generation of healthcare services and medical staffing
- Build and maintain influential relationships with leading clinicians, specialists, referrers and industry stakeholders
- Foster a high-performance business development team culture focused on growth, innovation and execution excellence.

The Person

You are an accomplished leader recognised for delivering growth, influencing at the executive level, and leading complex strategic initiatives.
You bring:

- Senior experience in business development, healthcare growth, consulting, sales, commercial leadership or transformation
- A proven track record of identifying and delivering significant growth opportunities
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including business case development, investment analysis and performance assessment
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship-building capability
- The ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through growth and change
- Strategic curiosity, intellectual rigour and a strong bias towards action.
