The Cancer Research Division leads Cancer Council Victoria's cancer epidemiology, cancer intelligence, population data assets, research platforms and research infrastructure capabilities to generate evidence that informs cancer control policy, programs and services. It includes the Victorian Cancer Registry (VCR), a population-based cancer registry that provides comprehensive, accurate and timely information for cancer control by developing and maintaining a high quality, accessible information asset to support epidemiological, clinical, behavioural and health services research and evaluation.

In this position, you will be co-located within VCR and the Cancer Policy and Specialist Programs team in the Victorian Department of Health (the department).

The Cancer Policy and Specialist Programs team provides statewide leadership for cancer policy and specialist programs, including the development and implementation of the Victorian cancer plan

About your opportunity
We are seeking a Project Lead to join the Cancer Research Division. Reporting to the Head, Quality Assurance & Innovation, your role is to manage a software platform that facilitates Multidisciplinary Meetings (MDMs), bringing together a team of doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals to create personalised treatment plans for cancer patients. You will oversee the operational management of this platform across various Victorian Health Services,



ensuring its optimal performance and alignment with the needs of healthcare providers.

Working closely with the software vendor and the Department of Health, you'll leverage your expertise to support the successful implementation and continuous improvement of the software. Your efforts will directly contribute to enhancing patient care and streamlining treatment planning processes across the state.

All about you

To excel in this role, you will bring:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Health Information Management, Health, IT or Science or a related field and/or proven relevant experience working with large health related databases and information systems.
- Strong relationship management and communication skills, with a proven track record of building and maintaining collaborative partnerships in the health sector.
- High-level negotiation and problem-solving abilities to navigate and address challenges across various levels of the health sector.
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills.

- Salary: $89,299 to $98,632 base salary per annum (pro rata for part-time), commensurate with experience, plus 12% superannuation and 17.5% annual leave loading.
