We are seeking an experienced and motivated On-Site Motel Manager (Couple preferred) to take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of a regional motel in the Hervey Bay region, Queensland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys working directly with guests, managing a team and taking responsibility for the smooth and efficient operation of a motel.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operation of the motel.

Manage reservations, check-ins and check-outs.

Manage bookings using the motel's Property Management System (PMS) and online booking platforms.

Provide professional and friendly customer service.

Respond to guest enquiries and resolve issues promptly.

Coordinate housekeeping and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Manage staff rosters and day-to-day staff requirements.

Monitor occupancy, room rates and availability.

Manage stock, supplies and relationships with contractors and suppliers.

Monitor operating expenses and assist with basic financial and operational reporting.

Ensure compliance with relevant workplace health and safety and accommodation requirements.

Assist in improving occupancy,



guest satisfaction and overall motel performance.

Be available for reasonable after-hours requirements associated with an on-site management position.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience in motel, hotel or accommodation management.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Experience with motel/hotel PMS and online booking platforms.

Experience coordinating housekeeping and other motel staff.

Solid organisational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and manage day-to-day operations.

Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays when required.

A professional, reliable and guest-focused approach.
