Are you looking for a temporary, full-time position? Based north of the Hobart CBD, this role sits within a statewide organisation. Providing an essential service to the Tasmanian community, this role offers the opportunity to join an established and people-focused workplace. This will be offered as a temporary role until the end of 2026.

Your new role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll oversee the delivery of accurate end-to-end payroll services and data for high-volume employees. You'll work across three Enterprise Agreements, executive employment contracts and relevant legislative requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing end-to-end payroll processing, including superannuation, Single Touch Payroll, leave entitlements, termination payments, and salary sacrifice;
- Ensuring payroll processes comply with relevant legislation, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and internal procedures;
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and preparing internal and external reports

What you'll need to succeed





You'll have experience managing payroll within a complex setting and a strong understanding of Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation. You'll also bring:

- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, processes and best practice;
- Experience processing payroll under complex Enterprise Agreements;
- Excellent numeracy and advanced Excel skills;
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing workflows;
- High attention to detail and a focus on accuracy;
- Knowledge of Chris21 or similar.
