About the role

We are seeking a hands-on manager to lead the movement of stock from receipt from our supplier and manufacturers through to delivery across our online, retail and wholesale channels. You will own the performance of our Byron Bay distribution operation: accurate inventory, reliable fulfilment, effective freight arrangements and a capable, well-supported team. You will also strengthen the operational systems that connect distribution with our two stores, with particular attention to stock transfers, shared staffing, store procedures and consistent execution across Byron Bay and Paddington stores.

This is a broader operational leadership role than day-to-day warehouse management. You will turn data and recurring issues into better workflows, plan for launches and peak trading, and work closely with marketing, retail, eCommerce, wholesale and customer service. Store managers remain responsible for sales and client relationships; your focus is making the operation behind those experiences work exceptionally well.

Distribution and fulfilment

· Lead receiving, quality checks, allocation, picking, packing, dispatch and returns for eCommerce customers, both stores and domestic and international wholesale partners.

· Set and monitor practical service standards for order accuracy, dispatch times, returns and stock-related customer escalations.

· Plan capacity, staffing and workflows for launches, promotions, seasonal peaks and new store openings; step into the operation when needed.

· Oversee open sales orders,



store replenishment and branch transfers so stock reaches the right channel at the right time.

Inventory and systems

· Own the accuracy of inventory records in Cin7 and their alignment with Shopify and day-to-day stock movements.

· Lead cycle counts, stocktakes, reconciliations and investigation of discrepancies; oversee write-offs and supplier returns.

· Coordinate replenishment and stock allocation across retail, wholesale and online channels, working with the relevant commercial and product teams.

· Manage packaging supplies, reordering and lead times; maintain clear standards for stock intake, storage and quality control.

People and store operations

· Lead, coach and develop the Distribution Coordinator and warehouse and dispatch team; set priorities, KPIs and clear accountability.

· Own distribution rosters and workload planning, including coordination where team members are shared with the Byron store; manage staffing within agreed budgets.

· Partner with store managers to standardise operational procedures across Byron Bay and Paddington stores, including transfers, receiving, stock handling, dispatch and store readiness.

· Support store setup and operational processes as the retail network expands, while maintaining organised and safe distribution and store environments.

Freight, partners and improvement

· Manage courier and freight partners, including domestic and international shipments, sea freight scheduling, customs coordination and delivery issues.

· Review freight invoices, negotiate rates and terms where appropriate, and manage freight, packaging and consumables spend.





· Work with customer service, retail, wholesale and eCommerce teams to resolve stock and delivery issues and address recurring root causes.

· Write and maintain practical SOPs; improve workflows and use systems and appropriate technology to reduce errors and unnecessary work.

· Report on fulfilment speed and accuracy, stock discrepancies, freight costs and team performance; bring recommendations to leadership.

· Coordinate operational stock programs such as shoot samples, promotional gifting and uniform loans.

About you

· Experience leading a distribution, warehouse or logistics function and developing a small team, ideally in a multi-channel retail business.

· Strong inventory control and order fulfilment skills, with confidence using Cin7 or a comparable system and Shopify.

· A practical grasp of retail store operations and the ability to work constructively with retail managers.

· Confidence managing freight providers, staffing plans, operating costs and competing priorities.

· An organised, detail-focused approach, clear communication and the ability to write SOPs that people actually use.

· Comfort working on the floor as well as improving systems and planning ahead; experience in jewellery or premium retail is welcome.
