We?re looking for a motivated and community-focused Allied Health Assistant to support clients to participate in exercise, improve their health and build independence. You?ll support individual and group clients to participate in prescribed exercise programs. You?ll provide encouragement, monitor how clients respond and share feedback with the treating clinician, helping clients develop skills to manage their health. If you enjoy working with people, have an interest in exercise and wellbeing, and want to make a difference as part of a supportive team, this could be the role for you.

Is this you?

You:

- enjoy helping people improve their health and wellbeing through exercise and physical activity.
- understand how Exercise Physiology can improve health and wellbeing outcomes.
- take a positive, respectful and caring approach to working with clients and colleagues.
- hold, or are working towards, a Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance.

Your new role

You'll support the delivery of exercise programs to individual and group clients under the direction of an Exercise Physiologist.

You'll monitor clients during exercise and provide feedback to the treating Exercise Physiologist.

The role also involves helping clients build self-management skills and independence through health coaching, education, and connecting them with suitable support groups and health and wellbeing programs.

You will work closely with clients, families, carers, and other health professionals to support clients in achieving their health and wellbeing goals.

As part of working in a funded service, you'll also maintain accurate case notes and documentation.
