We’re looking for a passionate and community-minded Newman Night Space Program Manager to lead the delivery of our current youth program in East Newman.

This is a unique opportunity to take a leadership role within a community-focused program, working alongside young people, families, Elders, Traditional Owners, schools and local organisations to create positive opportunities for young people aged across the community.

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day delivery and ongoing development of the program, leading a dedicated team and building strong local partnerships that help young people feel connected, supported and engaged.

This is apart-time position of approximately 30 hours per week, with regular evening work required to support the delivery of the Newman Night Space program, and sometimes on weekends as well.

Your Perks

- You’ll be earning $126,778 - $136,778 per annum + 12% super (pro rata)

- Salary packaging up to $18,550 per annum (pro rata)

What you’ll be doing

As the Newman Night Space Program Manager,



you’ll be the leader of the program and the team, responsible for ensuring the service operates safely, and to ensure achieving positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young People in the East Pilbara.

Your role will include:

- Lead the day-to-day delivery and continuous improvement of the Newman Night Space program.

- Lead and support the team, including rostering, staff development, training and performance.

- Build strong relationships with young people, families, Elders, Traditional Owners, schools and community organisations.

- Plan and oversee engaging youth activities, events and community initiatives that respond to local needs.

- Monitor program outcomes, manage reporting, administration, budgets and compliance requirements.

- Promote the program within the community and identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships, funding and service outcomes.

- Ensure the program maintains a strong focus on safeguarding, risk management and the safety of young people.

You’ll be great in this role if you…

- Have experience leading a team or program, ideally in youth, community or social services

- Are familiar with the needs of East Newman and Mardu Community.

- Are passionate about working with young people and supporting positive outcomes.

- Are organised, proactive and able to work independently and manage competing priorities.

- Have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or remote community experience will be highly regarded.

- Have experience with program coordination, risk management and/or community development.





- Are comfortable working regular evening shifts and weekends when required.

- Hold a current WA C Class Driver’s Licence, Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.

- Hold, or are willing to obtain, a current Working with Children Check

- Can provide a satisfactory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
