Summary:
The Working Groups Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the Bourke Tribal Council and Maranguka Working Groups by facilitating communication, organisation, and collaboration among members. This part-time contract position is essential for ensuring that the working groups operate effectively and achieve their objectives, contributing to the overall mission of community development and empowerment in Bourke, New South Wales.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate meetings and events for the Bourke Tribal Council and Maranguka Working Groups, ensuring all logistics are managed effectively.
- Facilitate communication between group members, stakeholders, and the community to promote engagement and collaboration.
- Assist in the preparation of agendas, minutes, and reports for meetings, ensuring accurate documentation of discussions and decisions.
- Support the development and implementation of action plans and initiatives as directed by the working groups.
- Maintain records and databases related to group activities,
ensuring information is up-to-date and accessible.
- Provide administrative support, including managing correspondence and responding to inquiries related to the working groups.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; further education in administration or community development is an advantage.
- Previous experience in an administrative or coordination role is preferred but not essential for entry-level candidates.
- Robust organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on fostering positive relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic knowledge of database management.
